  This is a very beautiful Chinese Chinoiserie cabinet. a handmade wood lacquer cabinet, boasts resplendent mother of pearl inlay and precious stones. This we would call an Armoire, and you can see that it has a roll-out self for a Television if desired. It can use some reconditioning to get the lacquer luster back.

  Hello; The cabinet that you have was made using a decorative application called "chinoiserie". Sometimes the cabinets are called "chinoiserie cabinets". The detail in these oriental style cabinets is just wonderful. The inlay and applied mother of pearl and other materials gives that cabinets a unique styling. The cabinet appear to be in good condition. There does not appear to be any major repair or damage to the piece. The oriental styling never seems to be out of style in design. In researching I found a very similar cabinet that was dated ealry 1960. A fair market value is $ 795.00 A replacement value is $ 975.00
