Oriental Cloisonné is a process that was taken from the Asian art of pottery making. This is a process that places tiny wires or strips of either Copper, Brass,Gold,Silver on edge then enamel is placed in between to form the picture for design. Very popular with Oriental Vases.

Mr. Ebersold used this process to form his artistry. He perfected this method and you think it is a oil painting but its not. Enlarge these pictures and maybe you can see the wires.

Info about Thomas Ebersold, a professional designer, had been a Vista, Ca.  resident for 23 years.

Thomas G. Ebersold was celebrated throughout the Southwest for contemporary cloisonné, his original art form. He began his career in the late 1960s, using traditional Oriental Cloisonné and modern materials to produce works of intricate detail and vivid color. His subjects range from Egyptian and Mayan to Southwestern themes. He also served as photographer for Vista Press. Tomas Ebersold passed away in March 1976 at the age of 32.
